Basic biology notebook

Recording the growth of a bean plant.

Mavion is a small student project that measures a bean plant over several days. It contains simple observations and no dramatic findings.

Project setup

One bean seed was placed in soil inside a small container.

The container was kept near a window and watered with small amounts of water.

Height was measured using a ruler once per day when possible.

Container

Small cup with basic soil and drainage holes.

Light

Indirect daylight from a nearby window.

Measurement

Stem height was written down in centimeters.

Growth record

Day Observation
Day 1 No visible growth above the soil.
Day 3 A small shoot appeared near the center of the container.
Day 5 The stem was taller and slightly leaning toward the window.
Day 7 Leaves became more visible, and the plant required support.

Summary

The bean plant grew slowly but visibly after germination.

The plant appeared to lean toward the light source, which was expected.

The project was simple, repetitive, and suitable for a quiet student notebook.
